Private Motor Collection began with an existing client website containing incomplete records, inconsistent vehicle information and broken image references. The project involved recovering and cleaning the underlying collection data, researching missing information and rebuilding it into a consistent digital archive before developing new ways to explore the collection.

Reviewed the existing website and dataset to identify missing records, inconsistent fields and broken media references.
Recover missing information
Located reference material and verified vehicle information and imagery needed to reconstruct incomplete records.
Create consistent data
Standardised vehicle records, resolved inconsistencies and organised images into a reliable structure.
Turn the data into a product
Built a new interface around the cleaned dataset, with structured navigation, filtering and visual browsing.
Build on it
Used the structured dataset as a foundation for richer relationships, discovery and intelligent ways of exploring the collection.
